First project - the usual welding trolley!

Ok, nearly there with the trolley. Lower level to take a mig, upper for bits and pieces (or tother way round if you want).

Some welds were very neat, others less so and then got bored with grinding them back some I chucked some red oxide paint on and then a coat of silver

Got my chequer plate cut to go in the gaps and make the shelves. However, with hind sight I'd just have welded sheet to the bottom of the box. Still, know for the future.

Also wouldn't have bothered welding bits over the ends of the box - just shoved some bungs in instead.

Also will be moving the wheels inboard so they're contained within the chassis but need to improve the little stub axles since the threaded rod is slack and M12 bolts have too long a plain shank.

that's my neighbours cebora pocket mig 130. good little mig actually and the reason i decided to build a trolley! Don't really need one for the portamig

right enough a full size bottle goes on the back of a portamig doesnt it

Yep, got a y-size cylinder of argoshield lite hanging off the back of mine.

My neighbour just uses those little disposable bottles but thought I'd put space at the back for one just in case he ever gets back round to restoring his car. Need a short length of chain to hang off the back.

Also positioned the wheels in line with centre of the cylinder so there wouldn't be too much weight to lift when dragging it around. Apart from the mig on the front

balancing out is always good, would hate for a cylinder to fall over

At least it's inert gas! Although I'm fairly sure if it fell and smashed the valve/neck off it would fire itself through our house and the neighbours! Coming through...

Kit car might not get a look in when the missus goes away for the weekend - might be a boys, beer and spudgun weekend.

There's some 2 1/2" knocking round at work at the moment I think...
