Clock it?clock the saw for 45Deg and mitre the ends
Surely a saw like yours has an accurate scale and you just set it.

Urgh.I'm using a rage chop saw for this and it's plasticky cr@p. After setting up it cuts well but does require some setup.
The big bandsaw would need to be pulled out to cut these long length and I just can't be bothered to do that.
Urgh.
Alu on an abrasive wheel chop saw .
Criminal.![]()
Much better. I heard rage chop saw and had terrible visions. Not abrasive, TCT blade.
Bandsaw for all for me.It's ok and gives nice clean cuts in Ali. It can be used for steel but it's horribly loud and spits hot chips everywhere. Bandsaw all the way for ferrous.
Then stop tickling it and give it a wallop. (Of current by the way I don't recommend hitting it with a hammer).Nice ali welding, I don't seem to even get a pool. Must try harder. Top stuff!
Looks good Matt.
That table is just the ticket. Needs a descale mind particularly if your earthing through it.
Dont use a flap disc, just a light go over with 60 grit (or finer) fibre disc, its much more flexible and will not dig in so easily, flap discs are great tools but not the answer to every cleaning jobI will give it a light go over with a flap disc soon.
