So after spending almost £1000 having various parts of my car welded. I went to clean a wheel arch and discovered another friendly hole
I had purchased a Migwelder and always intended to learn.. I have a sip migmate T135
I had a bit of scrap Inner sill from my 106 so had a go.. here are the results (they are disappointing)
This was just sticking the welder to the metal.. i played with the settings, i didnt know what i was doing tbh.
Ether enthusiastic i then cut a bit out and tried welding it back in.
however at this point i seemed to keep tripping the house RCD even at a low setting.
So gave it another go
That 2nd to bottom one seemed the best.. and it had penetrated on the other side.
however the house RCD tripped again so i stopped.
I obviously need to find a user manual, and im doing this gasless..
does anyone have any pointers i have read guides on here and tried to follow them!
Also a solution to the tripping of house RCD? it doesnt seem to matter what setting im on
Unfortunately there is not a local college that teaches welding around here so it looks like its self taught only..
