First go, hows she look?

Hello,

Just got a Clarke 135TE, came with CO2 disposable bottle and 0.6mm wire.

followed the instructions for settings for ym 1.5mm plate and this is what i got:

i tried to push and to pull, and a little side to side action in the wider ones... penetration looks good from what i gather off here?
its really my first go at MIG, did a couple welds in college but thats it.

i'm open to any advice or criticism ect

any input? do they look ok?

Cheers! Probably the machine more then me! Did notice a good amount of distortion when I did a few welds in a row, something to keep in mind

I find it a nice machine to use, are you going to sort a larger bottle of gas? And dont get in the habit of weaving, it.s simply not needed.

Keep it straight, got it, where should I be aiming in the pool? So far I'd say I aim about 3mm from the leading edge, where it just starts to get cooler or change colour, if that sounds right?

Yep, thinking argon co2 blend....

I've got the same unit, bought it off a member of this site, I'm a hobbiest and it does everything I need

Ps your better off with a big bottle, I use pub co2

Looking good, you want the wire to be right on the leading edge of the weldpool, this is one of the ways to judge your travel speed

Leading edge, I'll aim more for the tip then, I'm a few MM in with those.

Really need to hurry up and order a flip down face shield as one handed is hindering me!
