It all depends how much your using it, how long a bottle will last. Id suggest, hobbyweld or SGS 20ltr bottle. No rental, just pay a big bottle deposit.

If you go SGS keep the receipt you get your money back if you return bottle, also there is a discount for first bottle.
Not sure how that works, think you send copy of invoice to SGS and say member with name on this site + proper name and adress

10 ltr cylinders work from hobby weld, but they are 137 bar only, where 20ltr bottles are 200bar, so mire than twice the gas squashed in!

Thanks, just had a look, my supplier only seems to do Original or Ultra, I think I would need Plus.

Thanks, I had watched your videos, but couldn't get near your standard with flux core, and the consensus was buy gas, so I did go out and get some today.

Grind all the surfaces either side of the weld for about 6mm and the earth clamp area, clean metal is much easier to weld.

Thanks, bought some new flap discs to do this, one I had from Silverline was crap.

Keep the torch tip about 13mm approx from the weld area at about 75 to 80 degrees in the direction of travel from the surface and at 90 degrees side to side from the surface foe a flat weld and move fairly slowly, if the weld pool appears to be getting bigger move faster if the weld is pilling up turn up the power.

Your aiming for the sound of bacon frying from the arc.... it will come, just takes practice and patience....

May also lighten the lens a bit, when it kicks in I can just about see the puddle.

Plenty of illumination will make a big difference.
