Good job it was at night. Not only do you need more resources they have a very understaffed fleet. Loads go home at midnight. ( unless they have altered the time agaon)

I know some stations that operate BRV's have 2 extra watch colours who just cover days, Dudley springs to mind.

Once the brigade can say no one left inside. All they do is contain the fire and let it burn it self out.
Yeah they had purple watch just prior to my retirement. Ruined the job and reduced safety and service to the public. I was at Dudley prior to doing my last 2 years running Home Fire Safety Checks and that was like getting blood out of a stone..
