Can anyone recommend decent quality belts of the above nature, gone through almost a pack from Screw you and not got even four inch long welds dressed back yet, all breat at the same point..... The Joint.![]()
I took mine back, got a refund, they had failed to put the direction arrow on them.
So I got my last batch from Axeminster.

What do you need an arrow for. Look which way the belts are glued and fit appropriately.Yeah, some of these don't even have a direction on them, money back then down to Axminster, only ten minutes down the road.
Zirconium rocks. But if you are doing a lot, I’d look at a different solution as they are far from cheap
I don't know what size you require, But I would recommend BND abrasives. They sell 3m and Norton for example.
I buy my big belt grinder belts from them and they seem competitive. They have a website, but a phone call seemed to work out cheaper. Ed.
Another thing I do is keep most of them in the house, if you leave them in a damp environment they don't last as well.

Not that far removed from a flap disk and they remove metal at an alarming rate. Handy tool I could do with acquiring. How rough were these welds Sean?
Only joking, I thought these finger sanders were only for shaping filler or wood. Had no idea they would grind steel
Bob

My boss gets all our linisher belts at work made up for us, he offered to see if they'd do them for my lidl power file because i've had the same problem.
