It's not cheap but is very good at keeping water out of electrics.
It's just reminded me that I have to get some more now I know the new pump is working ok.

I have just built another antenna, last one died due to water ingress, luckily by design it was a DC short via a balun so the radio didn't let the magic smoke out

That's pretty darn good. TBH my issue with screws is't that they are screws, but that they just screw down onto a wire. Breakers and contactors generally have a better setup where they screw a cage up to clamp the wire.

It all comes down to cost, but £5/ea plus vat is pretty good going! Do they do metal clad industrial ones?

Do they do silver ones for my wife. lol

Yes I've had one of those chisel number of years now. They are brilliant

Hopefully it's better than their scutch holder, one box and it mushroomed at the drill end fixing it fast in the chuck. Had to slog it to get it out of the chuck. Luckily didn't write off the drill, it's only a £20 SDS from B&Q but had it for over 10 years now and it goes through anything, I'll be gutted when it finally bites the dust. Checked the reviews and others had had the same problem so back for a refund.

The holder's a beast and very effective, just carp on the critical bit.

Went to a 20kw motor that had been "tested" unrelated but I grabbed the motor tails and pulled them straight out of the contactor less than finger tight

I got a call to have a look at a dimmer which was having a few problems, they're a terrible design to start with but not doing the nuts up at all really didn't help.
Pictured is the earth but the L2 and L3 were the same.
And that's a 160A supply on 95mm singles.

And to show just how loose it was this is after I cleaned and torqued it to spec.

I had one of those, it didn't stick in the chuck but the vibration pushed the scutch comb out sideways within seconds

i made my own sds scutch chissel just cut an old sds chissel up and used the chuck end and welded a hand held skutch chisel on works well

Just trying to identify the switches to buy some chromed ones for the bedroom to match the rest of the caravan.

Not much else to do in the bedroom now So we need some nice boxes to look at.

Fair enough, like with most things in life as new materials and methods are invented the level of skill needed in construction/building is definitely lower, time required is lower, but profitability is higher.

I found British General Nexus and they seemed close enough and mid range price. Only need 5 or 6 changed so wont break the bank I guess....I just hate changing things for looks and not funtionality. Women eh. lol (sorry @KimB and @mrsbruce) .

I did some flood recovery work on some 300ish year old cottages, the initial contractor wanted to tank, render and just seal them up to "protect against the water"

We used lime plaster and clay paint, let them breathe like they have for the last 300 years, they dried out in no time
