Filler question

Ok, so I bought a box of offcuts from eBay to practise with, it's a mix of mild and SS, the stainless is magnetic so presuming 430. I've only got mild and 308 filler. Obviously not looking for the strongest weld while learning but will any of these fillers do or do I have to shell out on something else?

it will be fine for practice the 308 will flow just fine on the 400 grade stainless.

cool, thanks. Now I just have to find a way of cutting the offcuts down a bit. they are a lot bigger than I thought they'd be.
