Filler on bare metal?

Hi all

I have applied some body filler directly onto clean bare steel without priming first and wondered if it will cause a problem? I have used Lechler Fix-a-dour 2k etch wash primer around it then Lechler Green TI High build primer over the whole car. It will be ready for base & clear coat very soon and dont really want to have to it all again but any advice would be vary welcome

You would normally put filler on bare metal or these days on top of keyed epoxy primer

Thanks for that I wasnt sure if not applying epoxy primer first was a big mistake. Knowing its going to be ok has saved me alot of work!

These days its the norm to fill on Epoxy primer as obviously steel attracts moisture and Filler is as good at sucking it in as a sponge. better to keep them apart
