That's a broad statement, cheap poly...ok fair enough.
Decent stuff...Installed correctly...will last every bit as long if not longer than rubber, it doesn't rot as easily and the sleeves are often stainless so they don't swell up and burst the bush.
I don't mind that most people still think of a rust issue no worse than any other car of the period - had allowed me to own quite a few performance coupes, estates, convertibles and hot-hatches over the years than I should have been able to afford otherwiseI know your pro lancia but that must have been the last part of the original car you took off
They all missed out. Suppose I ought to thank the 1970's Daily Mirror for running a story on a rusty engine mount on Series one Beta saloons that had errors (engine could not drop out) - only came to light because Lancia were trying to do right - they were buying cars with the issue back . . .As for the integrale - 5 yrs ago, after 200,000 miles, a lot of those towing trailer and caravans, 26 yrs after it was made, stored outside for all my ownership (18 yrs now) and used in all weathers (absolutely fantastic and surefooted on winter tyres in bad conditions - similar on heavy rain etc on "normal" tyres) - needed two outer sills, patch repairs to inner sills, one repair to one side of the floor for a few inches, and a bit of work around the screen and rear screen apertures. Not too bad I think.
A cramped, slow, old, un-economical, antiquated thing of car compared to any new car. But no desire to get rid - even makes me smile just walking past it . . . Stuill gets used for towing purposes. Shopping. Commuting. Or just a cobweb blowing out blast
