Does anyone have any experience of Festo Didactic Pneumatics?
I've been toying with an idea to make a small punch of some sort for 1mm steel. Obvious choice would be hydraulics of some sort. But...
Today, when clearing old stuff at work, I came across a cabinet full of Festo pneumatics. Included is regs, filters and several different types of ram/piston. They are from a modular training system/jig but non of the rams etc have any details saying stroke distance or more importantly their force/speed capacity.
Most say max input pressure of 8bar.
Anyone used these before? I have a feeling they would not produce enough force.
