This has given me even more impetus, I was thinking to design a 'shed' (read workshop) for a guy that the local council wont allow him a shed, coz its listed grade two.
my idea was on a hilly field that the roof would end up slightly falling back but actually flat and the back of the building was dug out of the hillock ground, so invisible from the back of the hill side, would be cool in summer n warm in winter but generally 'cool' all round you would only see it from one angle ie the doors at the back of the property and totally invisible from above, just have to have a decent fence above the doors !!

Unfortunately yes, they were a bit too heavy to roll or bend in house. I did a calc that told me an 80 ton point load in the center of a 3m length would flex the beam 25mm and that was enough to put me off trying.

Yep, don't mind one like that every so often and I met some brilliant and talented lads and lasses through the job so that balanced out the lack of financial bonus
Great to go from a scribble on a bit of tongue and groove through the CAD and into the field in which it grew

That frontage killed it a bit for me too, tbh.
It's organic shape made it both beautiful and a bugger to construct. Although the 'star gate' frontage was in that original sketch the brief was it was to be a mountain and when you look from the rear it has a series of crests and appears to go on an on and on. Personally I think the stingray stage with just the galv sheet was the prettiest, but with that amount of bass, by hell would it rattle! The tonnage of soil really pinned the acoustic and it was amazing how it funnelled out sound, even the crackle of a 7018 or blethering to your mate the speaker effect was noticeable.

I think the fluid shape with the grass is super, the wood front is to over done for my liking my sis in law thought it was a bit on the heavy looking side but she is a bit of a building snob, but nice really

As said the sister in law was one of the original Cullanan team she has just retired, I got taken to a TC lecture a long time ago & was surprised at the way he made even the boring parts of design interesting his drawn overheads were out of this world
I think the flowing lines of your build are really great, it is a shame there are not more
