Corvid or better still Covid 19 ….. Best start trying to locate enough PPE then and preppers manuals on how to preserve food & recognise edible plants in your part of the world. For a C20 pandemic is only 4-10 years or less away .

well reality today. went and did 2 jobs this morning came home power washed the green crap of the big fence panels ready for creosoting tomorrow went round mates house set all the lines and levels out on his new patio. set up and bedded about 8 meters of border blocks down on cement came home watered the plants outside and never stopped. hese coming round to do the creosoting tomorrow id rather do his patio than do my fence , he would rather do my fence so fair swap

Well yesterday I got furloughed after working from home for last 5 weeks, so booked 2 weeks holiday ( I was due one week at Easter anyway) so phone and computer for work can now go silent they can work out how to cover breakdowns for themselves! So today actually managed to clear some ground ready for shuttering and laying concrete for garage extension, already have the cement and 20mm ballast ready so rather than having to sit close to phone and computer for emails just incase a breakdown happened I've got my freedom back as if I stepped away from them I felt guilty .
I've had issues with work stress so now I can crack on with the 'me ' projects, always been better working on my own , just prefer it that way just occasionally I need assistance in the way of muscle to move something and as Dads 84 he can't help out much so I just have to think levers or its amazing how much you can shift with an engine hoist and a few trollies.
So I'm looking forward to 5 weeks 'me' time , forget about work (experience tells me that will take about a week to switch off) I'll get my restoration project painted as well and hopefully a long way towards reassembled , which will then hopefully mean I might enjoy the summer if we ever get big events back on , god I hope the Dorset Steamfair happens

Eric my Fil started his apprentice ship in a paper mill up in Pegs Bay Nova Scotia Canada . in 1934 As a six foot two Cannuk aged 14 his job was to be AXEMAN for Old Tom the electrician. Old Tom used to say to the guys in the grinding mill " Is it Daid " when ever he was called up of power cables being ripped down or machinery flying apart & chucking live 480volt cables around .
He used have to look up to say to Eric ." Young Eric if you see me shaking like a bloody wood pecker you chop that effin cable . The first day there he was with his razor sharp double blade lumberjacks axe all keyed up just incase Tom got electrocuted . Suddenly old Tom starts jumping about shouting & crying , Eric flew into action & chopped the cable through in one blinding flash go blacking out the whole paper mill . What th hell do=id you do that for says TOM .. you were jumping around like you was being electrocuted . ........... " Naw lad , I dropped me dottle down me shirt & it was burning me belly " .

Excellent - being busy really helps. I'm not taking enough days off and keep being exhausted! Doesn't help worrying about money but it definately gets stuff done and looking nice.

Keeping busy is the key , set the alarm as for work , breakfast and see who piers is arguing with this morning ah his mate Trump has unfriended him ! so did mum's shopping today then onto the concrete project , just my luck after all these weeks of great weather that its due to break ! So concrete is down , its sheeted over and I guess the rest of the week's work will be confined to the garage , still painting is the fun bit as you suddenly see progress
