Fed up with this rain....

This rain!! I got home today and went up to my room, and switched the light on..it came on then instantly went out, making a crackling sound.

I assumed the bulb had gone, so I went off downstairs to make tea.

3 hours later I came back up to place my boots under the bed and felt a splash of water on my elbow...

Its only water leaking through the ceiling from around the light rosette and running down and into the bulb fixture!! The corner of the bed is saturated, the matress is saturated...

Go up in the attic to find water dripping through a tear in the roofing felt that has always been there and never posed a problem before..in 10 years.

1 week ago I was eating breakfast to find water dripping on my head from the downstairs kitchen ceiling.. same problem, different end of the house... At least that hole was fixed. Council houses... and their slate roofs.
