I've not posted many jobs of late, but here's a feature stair in a £39M new building for Newcastle University. 30mm thick plasma cut stringers, 6mm treads, 21mm thick Sentriglas T&L structural glass balustrades and stainless handrails. Client to screed and tile the stair thats why you can still see the mesh welded into the pan treads. The top flight spans about 8M with no supports.
Not a small task considering this started life as a set of drawings and a 12T pile of bits. Client is over the moon (As they should be!).
Hiab offloaded onto the slab and erected with a specialist mini crane. Sounds easy if you say it quickly.
