untested = sales language for, it went pop now I want to rip someone off, there are genuine people but you never know

its nearish me but looking on what hes sold most of car bits most breakers i know of know about fixing cars and hence know welding to some fashson

and yes if its worth a fair bit you would at least do some testing if your selling it

It's shot.
Why on earth would a 230v machine not get tested to encourage more buyers. Even if you didn't know how it worked you'd at least plug it in and pull the trigger.
Blow up a tungsten with no gas to ensure you had an arc.
Snooper has it dead right.
Untested means I know more than I'm letting on. But I'm covering myself by saying it "could" be ok or not.
Untested means you as the buyer are made to believe you could land a right little deal from someone who's aquired a machine and can't be bothered to plug it in.
It's over priced already. It's only worth £400 new with a pretend warranty.

It's got no torch so it can't be tested but last time it was used it worked. Sold as seen.

Message the seller and ask for a picture of it powered on. If he is genuine he would have no problem sticking a plug on

I bought same model in same situation! Asked if i could pop a plug on it and test. Worked perfect and got for £150 without torch. Year later hf has gone but still a bargain. Was only 10 mile away so worth it.
