Personally, I can't help but think that fan is complete overkill for a forge blower. It's like getting a JCB digger out instead of a hand trowel to bed border plants.
Not exactly the cheapest of things though, if one's wanting to cover more than a couple of Amps. Plus, induction motors aren't necessarily happy chappies when run at low speed. Centrifugal switch, for example, might never kick out, hence allowing the start cap to remain in circuit constantly.
