Interesting - I was surprised to find that 648 tasted sweet. Is the saccharin a functional ingredient?

well. its definitely fake.The label is subtly different to the real thing and has typo's.
The seller has a business retailing this stuff on ebay, UK registered Strangely no reply to emails.
Surely there is a safety implication to this?
Would Henkel be interested in this? or Trading Standards?
- Or just bin it and move on?

Reputable companies with established products very rarely make such simple mistakes

The Chinese con artists have fakes of fakes that dupe legit places, I have this information to an evidential standard

When I worked in the oil fields all our lifting gear, chain, shackles, hooks, were supposed to be graded, tested, arms supplied with certification etc etc. It was all supposedly sourced in the USA, from reputable manufacturers.....

.....but we had enough failures that our head office investigated and found, sure enough, at some stage it was Chinese carp being slipped into the system. Lots of it. Someone in the US was playing with peoples lives.

no idea, but many years ago I used to have to look into what things were made of due to coshh regulations

Open up a case with eBay against the seller if they’re ignoring you, eBay has become such a cesspit now, I got caught out last year buying Meyle drop links for my car, they were obviously fake as they lasted less than a year and that definitely wouldn’t have been the case if they were not fake as they are a quality manufacturer and not cheap.
Also bought a fake Spyder ski suit which leaked like a sieve but at least I got my money back for that.
I don‘t buy car parts from eBay any longer, and from what you’re saying I’d now be wary of buying anything branded.

Exactly. It used to be the case that the German brands like Meyle and Febi were pretty close to MB OEM.
Not now, as most on-line are fakes.
I had some 'Monroe' shocks leak within a year.

China copy anything they can make money from and anything reputable will be cloned and sold, not long ago LR had issues with cheap Chinese components entering their supply chain and aftermarket suppliers of LR components had a hell of a job with cheap copies entering their stock and a number of serious accidents or near misses with exploding brake discs as one example.

We like to mock the fake stuff but they look to be forging ahead with quality stuff too, its killing UK made stuff as they are often cheaper and quicker lead times. One company I worked for in the past bought a brand new competitors item posted it to China, three weeks later it was returned with a fully functional copy of the product, lead times and costs, this was all before the days of the internet too.

I wouldn't buy Loctite or Mitutoyo stuff from eBay. It's just too obviously all fake. Loctite is expensive.

Try BondLoc. Usually about half the price of Loctite.

On zoro, if you use the 20% offer, Loctite can come down in price a lot.

That’s not for me to do, that’s not the way these things work - you make a claim and usually back it up with things like links to sources where you saw or read things, or - god forbid - you could even post pictures and stuff.

Just saying things doesn’t make them true in the slightest.

The fact that “the internet” doesn’t appear to have any info on your story makes me think that it’s likely to not be true. Of course it might be, but I’m playing the odds here…
