Fake Loctite 641 ?

Just bought a 10ml pack of 641 from a "reputable" online supplier. Don't use it much so I have nothing to compare it to,
Anyway, just happened to notice that the label, although it looks good, there are spelling mistakes, strange grammar and poor spacing on the label. It does state "made in china".
I would have expected a quality german company to be a bit picky on things like this, so I'm thinking this is a fake copy? or am I just expecting too much?

I would imagine it is a copy as Loctite have been at it long enough to get it right

Some of them have a qr code on the bottle that you can scan and use to check if it's authentic

no codes on the bottle. It just looks low quality and not like something a top company would allow out. Pretty sure its fake.
Will go back to the supplier see whay they say...

For the last 2 years I’ve been looking at crap from China. If it looks wrong it will be wrong

Reputable companies with established products very rarely make such simple mistakes

The Chinese con artists have fakes of fakes that dupe legit places, I have this information to an evidential standard

Chinese have two kinds of fakes or better clones.
Legit one's which are just compatible with original products.
Illegit one's which are not only compatible and looks exactly the same but they do have also "original" brand ,code numbers , etc
Those are illegal

I do like cheap clone stuff but I do buy just spare parts for stuff I repair.
Or stuff that I'd like to have but I can't justify the original .
It's useful also in case you are working on really old stuff and you are not able to find original replacement parts for it

I can't see a legit Reason in this case.
But I'd like to see a picture of this Loctite bottle .

Henkel have a place in Dublin, we have a lot of our kit in there. Knowing their quality procedures I certainly wouldn’t be expecting things like that - no matter where it’s made.

I would say without doubt it’s counterfeit.
Can you upload a photo of both sides of the bottle?

Seems a big problem with car parts, recent purchase of "Bosch" CPS was nothing of the sort, reported it to amazon and the vendor vanished, got a refund, and kept the part as an emergency backup.

In the 80's I built a few hundred solenoid actuators where one part had Loctite applied to it. It was before it became regulated (today yearly health scan is required if you use more than a certain amount) not using gloves, inevitable to get on your fingers and eventually in mouth

Couldn’t a fake manufacturer just scan a genuine one then make a new QR code with the same link? Or is that not how it works?

They tend to to be single use on the checker. Because nobody should have used it already.

I would guess the codes are also not simply sequential

I was asked to buy a pair of UGG boots in Australia, they are prone to counter-feit.
Found some I thought was suspiciously cheap but they had a warning note about copies and a QR to the website of how to spot the fake ones. That pair faied on all points
