Let us be clear about this:

Women accumulate Junk.
The corollary being:
Treasure requires careful storage.
Junk doesn't.
EtA: @Cato has clearly described both the 5 year rule and the Does this Treasure deserve its Space question.
I have sold lovingly hoarded uncommon car spares on the basis that if I really needed to I could replace them.
I also use the ScrewStation Rule; can I buy this from Screwfix or Toolstation on a Sunday afternoon?
If yes, sell or give away. If not, can I get it the next day on Amazon Prime? If yes, out it goes, if not, I have to undertake mental gymnastics to decide what to do!

That's the best way to think about a lot of stuff. It's fine keeping bits & bobs, just incase, but if they're still readily available & not expensive, bin them & simply buy some more if/when you need them.

We are at the unit tomorrow to make space for a load of stuff coming in, the new rule is it gets boxed and labelled before it gets on the mezzanine

There's going to be a 10 day quarantine before any further gatherings.But it would mean limiting numbers on the forum meet up
I had a bad week. Felt really low all week. Myx1C has packed up. (In the worst way) (next to setting on fire). Intermittent issues causing under extrusion. Just started printing the cable boxes to tidy/name all the leads. So thats stopped me in my tracks.
Number 1 grandson computer stopped working. Thought it might be keyboard but no such luck.
Number 2 grandson actually stopped working himself. Lol He fell asleep Wednesday at school. Today he fell asleep 3 times.
Wifes hip has gone wonky again so got to see consultant Tomorrow. (only good thing this week is we got an appointment amazingly quickly.)

We are slowly clearing mum and dads bungalow
They are still with us but mum has really bad arthritis and dad has dementia
Mum wants to see everything go to a good home, dad wants to keep everything
We are getting there by telling her we will take stuff to a charity shop or get rid via freecycle, reality is, its mostly going the the tip
I used to work to the 5 yr rule, but work, life kids and grandkids got in the way, and the project components mounted up. Now, if I add the time required to fulfill all my half (or less) built projects together I suspect a good many will fail. Time to have a rethink on some of it and move some stuff on. Starting with some motorbikes, mini and Rover engines, I have a wood burner and three oil boilers in there for starters..
