Get that looked at in a&e or your gp treatment room.
They will likely stitch that or use steri strips. Probably get a tb booster too given it was a dirty cut.
Advise you to shave the area before you go. It will save a lot of pain when removing dressings. Plus the steri strips and dressings stick better.
Big respect to anyone who was a cook in the forces - it was the hardest course going. To this day I don’t think anyone has ever passed![]()
Home stitching would be asking for it to get infected. You’d probably be better superglueing it than stitching it yourself. Whatever you attempt make sure it’s thoroughly cleaned out. The above definitely isn’t medical advice. If it’s bad enough for you to think it needs stitching I’d get it checked out properly. It's not hurting at all, one plaster strip has already come off on the walk back from the pub.
I must get some steri strips, quite fancied a go with them.
Tbh SWMBO has some topical out of date anaesthetic here, did think about home stitching it but presume you need special "gut" or whatever?

I still remember the day my mum stood on a bit of broken milk bottle. Refused to go to A&E, as they were built tough in those days - but there must have been a small shard remaining that plagued her when walking for 40 years afterwards.Home stitching would be asking for it to get infected. Superglue surgical is great for such things. Ive used it on the dog and an alpaca, plus myself. But do also use farm antibiotic spray too!

Thought you were on a diet!Made my own sandwich, nothing new there...
Salt and vinegar may have better antiseptic properties.^^^^^ If it's bleeding through your bandages stick that empty crisp packet over it, that'll stop the blood from running your best pub trousers.

They used that to stick my head back together just before Christmas, healed up nicely
), but they refused & glued it. I've got a pokey fine line which you can barely see now.Stitched my head up when I was a kid, had to shave the hair off to do it.They used the glue on me when I did the side of my head, a few year ago. I wanted stitches, (the scar would have looked far more impressive), but they refused & glued it. I've got a pokey fine line which you can barely see now.
