So I'm ripping my Ford Sierra to bits for my haynes roadster kitcar project. Posted a load of stuff for sale on the sierra owners club website and a guy has just asked me how much for the front and rear seats, all door cards and various other bits. I said "how does £90 sound? considering there's a single front seat from a sierra going for 40 quid on ebay, and a back bench for £30"
he replied with a "rolling on the floor laughing" icon... ****.
So if the seats, which are in great nick, are gonna go for less than 20 quid each, I might as well keep them and turn them into some funky furniture like the stuff on top gear. Just wondering what you fella's would recommend for fabricating a frame to hold the front seats as independent "chairs" and the back bench as a fully featured "two seater complete with central arm rest"...
Only ever done the haynes roadster chassis which is all laid out in the book for you, so never done any design/fabricating work off my own head.
advice greatly appreciated!
