So, mainly no!hello. My friend showed me how to weld yesterday. I never looked directly at the center. The problem was, i was unmasked and i looked at some surfaces in the garage (where he was welding) for a few minutes. Am i in trouble eyesight wise?
i was not unmasked all the time, but i was when i looked at the surfaces (shelves, trailor, walls,) that were illuminated. I was about 5 feet away from the welder, and 2-3 feet away from the illuminated surface
....... well it got me a good nights sleep after my first real bad case when I was about 18, something to do with the tannings in the tea, doesn't cure the arc eye as such, but cools your eyes down so you can at least keep em closed and get some sleep.......They ruined your complexion though eh Sean!weldequip

Love it, No mate that was from another little trick my college tutor taught us......how to weld without wearing a shield.....
clever bloke he was......
