That could prove frustrating to someone who buys such a bike but doesn’t get the special plug spanner with it, trying to work out how to remove the plug.

Mind you, many modern bike require a partial strip down just to change plugs nowadays.

It could be done with "normal" tools, just a bit more fiddly

I foresee holed radiators…..

Apparently on the Bulldog I used to own you need the exact length plug spanner, too short, it won’t reach, too long and you can’t get it out with the plug in the end. I never tried it myself.

Facom hex box spanner -in 10mm

cut head off 1omm socket and weld tube , then re weld cut off onto tother end.

If "price not too much of a factor" why not buy the Snap On version linked ?

The SO ones are about 115mm. I’m in comms with Mr DoubleBoost and I’m hopeful there is a solution there.
