mine has metric. when I bought the new one I was surprised that all the tables were still just photocopies of the originals lol

What I've always found annoying is that the metric threads in my '80/'81 Zeus book are half way through an bear no relation to the other pages it's between. I downloaded a PDF file someone had scanned which is useful as it saves a trip out to the garage.

yeah that is annoying, I have also found in my eighties copy it is difficult to read the annotations on the sheet metal bending pages, and the thread drawings. its a bit better in my newest copy but not much

Personally, I set the caliper for size and make the diameter a smooth, slide fit for the caliper. To be honest, bang on size else a gnats fart under will make little to no real world difference. I'm sure there will be someone along shortly saying their parts have been into space or similar and need to be spot on though. 
As an example, find a bit of old equipment and try running a die down any studs and bolts. You'll likely find that no matter what you initially set the die at, there will be variation of snug, loose and tight fit.

Left hand column O.Dia. Are you going to use a thread chaser or run a die down after screwcutting to get the crests correct?
It's from the bad old days when everything was analogue.
Split die.
OK lets make it nice and easy and just give the bar diameter for cutting thread!
Use this table (turn down to mid point on tolerances max/min OD ISO and then cut the thread). It will run perfect on the nut then

At least he didn't say man cave. Doesn't everyone call it a shed?
p.s: Now that I've set myself off on the man cave thing, why on earth do blokes refer to it as that? That's some derogatory woman type name for a blokes woman free haven, not something blokes should be calling it.
The only thing that goes in my shed is my lawnmower.
Now my fully heated, insulated integrated garage workshop gives 600sqft of cosy clean motorcycle restoration space.....
I split into two using industrial clear thermal curtains so I have a dirty side for welding and grinding and a clean side for the lathe and milling stuff and the bikes.
I like to think of it as a man haven.....

So it's a cosy shed then. Mines a pistle free zone. Gert and the eldest are pretty much banned from entry full stop, (I'd rather half kill myself lugging stuff than let either of them in to help), and the youngest gets booted out if there's any attitude or whinging. It's pure bliss.
