The exhaust was damaged by Rosinante making a mistake.
Not by faulty manufacture.


So the fix for the issue is to commit Fraud ... !

In my youth I used to do similar on my XT500.
At the south of the Isle of Man, there is a downhill road surrounded by Headlands to the Cafe at the Sound of Man.
Big handfull of throttle, Kill Switch to Off, roll down the hill.
Kill Switch to On.
BOOM!
Echos back off the headlands
Small rainfall of Cream Teas from the startled Oldies at the Cafe.
Leave rapidly giggling.

Fraud really, whatever.

Our Britpart rear exhaust lasted well, I guess it depends on what journeys you do. In general we mostly did long ones so the exhaust got hot enough to burn off condensation

Back box, I would be trying high temp/ heat resistant silicone if you can't close it up with ratchet, if it's not much would expect it to spot up and self seal.

Don’t invest too much in it as it may quickly exceed the initial cost of a more robust product - and still fail quite early on., el cheapo silicone 200c , got some in garage so will try that, however getting a better quality one may be difficult unless zi go fir a stainless item ,

Think I'd try plumber's solder round the joints?
