as above.some information on your welder would be a good start..also.are you repairing or modifying..the main problem with exhaust pipe welding is that there very thin from factory so if its rusted the chances are it will be a nightmare to fix...
you should have some reference to settings in your machines handbook or on the machine itself-if not you could try an internet search for the handbook of your machine.
Settings are only a starting point though because your exhaust (if its a repair) will be oxidised, contaminated inside and may be brittle due to use.You may need to some quick spot welds on it to see what settings to do the job with.
