signed a lease with a couple of mates for a workshop today, it'll give us a 1000 sq ft to play with it's mainly for messing around with landrovers and my mates are in autograss so working on them to

but it gives me a place to stick bits of metal together and learn tig and stick and improve my mig

oh i can't wait, got the keys today, got a sparky friend coming out tomorrow to add sockets as theres currently only one in there however theres lots of empty spaces on the consumer unit then time to crack on and start shifting stuff in first job get thte landy ready for an mot

Make sure you get insurance, though! My mate's workshop was broken into a year and a half ago (he's a professional carpenter) and they took all his tools. As he wasn't insured, he couldn't work for months

i think it depends on what class you are in to i know they race class 1, 2 and 4 but i also think it depends, like anything, how much money you want to throw at it

yeah i can't stop smiling to be honest, i'm going from a tiny garage with no electric to a lovely unit. I'm keeping it quiet that i've got a unit otherwise i'll be inundated with long lost "friends" who need *5 minute* jobs doing which take all weekend

A slap to the mouth usually works. Accept one of these jobs and you are stuffed.
My motto is 'I cant do work on vehicles as I am not licenced'; a polite solution. There are other technical terms that can be used but they become offensive to some people.

2 things which a pretty high up there got a decent percolator and some nice coffee spare already and i'm sure i can find a spare ipod dock laying around. the unit will soon be filled with intoxicating smell of italian coffee and the sound of the sweet sweet blues

Years ago, when I left the parents home and got a house with the missus, I was........meh, not bothered

When I got my own little unit- when I was finally free from working for 'the man' and knew I never had to punch into a timeclock ever again was one of the best 'tingles down my spine' feelings of my life.

I have been playing Pil lately. Whatever; loud and dirty mid afternoon it feels great.
before she left wifey bought me a Tassimo machine. Ha! poncey thing! I thought.
Then the first one broke down and I went home in a strop. A luxury but split between a few mates being able to choose between a 'nice brew' and 'crack cocaine' coffee. I have become a coffee snob. Try any album by The Veils, cracking sounds.
