excellent weekend for bike racing

I'm really looking forward to this weekends bike racing

Saturday weve got moto gp at assen, its going to be the usual rossi/lorenzo/stoner fight, but assen is a track where you can get the odd suprise, especially if the weather is changeable as it often is, you might get a suprise from hayden/edwards/vermeulen

Sunday weve got wsb from donington park, one week since johnny rea got his first win,one week since shane byrne led a race and got his first wsb podium (not including his 2 wildcard wins) leon haslams place of work (he teaches race school there), tom sykes might find form, leon camier and james ellison are wild carding and theve both had a win at donny this season in bsb, both doing 1.31's

Then theres the cal crutchlow/eugene laverty show in the supersport races

its going to be british sports saving grace at donington, were crap at tennis/f1 and gp, but we should get at least 1 win at donington

A friend of mine is an instructor for Haslam's Donington school on Wednesdays. A few of my other friends are setting off for Assen today, eight of them went last year and four of them had their bikes stolen. The police found them in a dike covered with reeds down the road from the hotel. They were fitted with disk locks but the thieves undid the disk bolts and pushed the bikes. They are going in a secure parking area this year. I'll definitely be watching TV this weekend, the 250 and 125 gp races should be on the interactive as well.

I'm looking forward to all that too - it's the only reason there is a television in my house!

We were at Assen for WSB in April and are off to Brno this time next month for that round

I'm a huge Rossi fan but I have to say there is generally much better racing in superbikes these days.

Real roads racing like the North-West, Skerries and the TT now that sorts the men from the boys. Nice to have the odd 'bike thread' appearing too by the way!

Re bike thievery at big races.
I remember few (lots of?) years back at the Bol' some guys were offering secure parking in a shipping container. Guess what they did next..................... One borne every minute.
