I bought this lathe over ten years ago, it was in a sorry state having languished in a wood working shed that had lost its roof.

It was covered in soggy sawdust and had no collets with it the paint work was rough and there was lots of surface rust.
The stand is cast in one piece and weighs at least 150kg on its own.
Initially I concentrated on the cosmetics, stripping paint and filling and a bit if painting with the help of my dad.
After a few weeks work it was looking a lot better.
