Hi all,
I am contemplating the online purchase of an EWM Tetrix 230 ACDC that is not in working order, although in nearly new condition.
Seller is not too detailed in his emails "it lights on, then nothing happen, my mate told me it could be the power supply board".
I do not believe I will get much more details from him, so I am asking EWM experts there;
Is it worth taking a gamble, the unit being for sale around £500.
If I can get it fixed for £500; it is a bargain deal, if the repair is £1000 it is still interesting but I would like to know roughly where I am going.
I understand none of us can "guess" what is wrong with that unit, but I thought you could tell me something like "it is full of PCB's and each of them costs ££££" or "Mr Smith can fix these boards for half the price of a new one", well, sort of...
Thank you for your help,
Fred
