Hi, I picked up this EWM Picotig180 AC/DC hoping to learn some aluminium tiging. But of course. I thought a cheap entry would be to buy a faulty AC/DC tig for cheap.
Anyway the welder turns on. I can adjust the amps and in functions in dc mode. However the buttons do have any affect so I can change the slope up or down. Post gas flow or change it to ac mode
The display flashes between amps and 1 1. If I press the button beside the display it then says 1n1.
When I remove the cover all looks ok, the ribbon connect to the screen tested of for continuity. All the buttons work when pressed. The main PCB seems to have a flashing red led but I don’t k ie if that is normal or not. I assume not. It just continually flashes. Not pattern that might identify a fault.
Any help appreciated as I know parts for these machine are incredibly expensive.
Thanks
