I've got a Jaguar I Pace on lease through work, it's nearly 3 years old now

It's dual motor so AWD, tyres are nothing special, just whatever JLR fitted from the factory

Have used it in the snow and it just got on a did the job with absolutely no drama

It does have a snow/ice mode option within the Terrain Respose controller but didn't need it, just sensible use of the go pedal

In the really cold weather the range does drop by about 10% but it does have battery management as standard

It's only limitation is ground clearance

Is that VW recommended or just what he’s heard ?

This is something that put me off buying a PHEV. You'll be merrily driving along on just electric, then you put your foot down to overtake and suddenly the stone cold engine roars in to life and immediately revs to a high RPM. I cannot see how the engine in a PHEV is going to last very long, when they're getting little use and no mechanical sympathy

On our PHEV , it's all computer controlled so no need for sympathy,
The engine is on all the time you are running the car , but just at tick over so the engine is nice and warm to generate heat & serious almost instant power if the drive battery & computer system asks for it .

Getting an extended test drive is the best way of finding things out .

I did 40 or so miles with the PHEV dealer & my wife in the car , she then did another 39 miles .

For the Motability Vauxhall combo ( space for hoist & electric wheelchair & a second row of three seats ) .
I did 38 miles with the motability specialist in the car as there were no back seats fitted in the test drive car / work van ...

It's a totally different beast to the electric 4WHL Drive PHEV, not quite so zippy as it's only two wheel electric drive but it has a lot of other advantages being seven years younger than the PHEV.

I think its about time we took it on the chin, stop listening to the fossil fuel funded media and admit we are screwing up our kid's futures and need to extract the digit and do something about it.

If it takes Greta or any other hessian wearing person to get the message across, so be it. I don't care who they rub up the wrong way, the truth often hurts.

She is being character assassinated by parties with vested interests in the fossil fuel industry, both in papers/TV and social media to make sure people hate her and focus on that rather than the message.

Follow the money trail she has left and that of her parents as well .
