I tried asking the chap what happened yesterday but I couldn't understand a word he said. I did get the impression it wasn't him so I am left wondering if this "gig economy" means delivery agents are being "sublet" and there's a pool of miscellaneous unknowns running around delivering packages.
Apparently this is common in the world of Uber Eats, Deliveroo, Just Eat etc. The "named" driver can sub out the work to one of his mates meaning you never know who is being given your name, your address and turning up at your door.![]()
