Evolution saw BARGAIN

so I got a text from machine mart about 20% of all Clarke and 10% of everything else. I was going to buy an evolution raptor 355m cut of saw soon so i decided to use my 10% off on this.

So I rang up this morning to check stock. Had one left and they put it aside for me.

The guy carries it half way to the till and dumps it on floor. Looks at product code, runs to till and types in. Applies my 10% off code and says that's £198!!!!!

I thought I had got the price wrong of what it should be so didn't say anything. However looking on the site it should have been quiet a bit more and the product code on the invoice does not match the code on the site for the saw or anything else for that matter.

Should I do anything?

but are they? if you were short changed and left the shop and went back later when you realized their response would be sorry you have left the premises.

I'd keep quiet and enjoy. The chances of them actually noticing and then taking action are slim.

After your 10% discount the mistake (if it is a mistake it could be genuine price, eg sale or discontinued item even if not shown as such on website ?) amounts to about 60 quid anyway - worth having but your not going to bankrupt machine mart!!

Interesting cheers guys. Yes it's definitely the right one I use them at work daily but fancied one for my self at home.

Quids in, never normally happens to me. I always get the **** end of the stick normally.

Eco 2035 is a roybi abrasive saw according to google but cannot find one on their website.

I bought one many years ago from netto before asda bought netto out, I dont know why but they where about £60, i could not believe it, i saw them and grabbed the last one I think the blades where nearly that much

Once you leave the shop there is nothing they can do. Enjoy the mistake.

They can come after you if they make a mistake, but the ultimate sanction the shop has is to take you to court, they would need evidence though and there doesn't seem to be any in this case.

If the customer makes a mistake, the customer pays, if the store makes a mistake the customer pays.

I think they could VERY EASILY link it to him since we can see which branch sold the saw, and the invoice number.

There's even a promotional code shown which would have been issued to the OP.

HOWEVER... No, I don't think for a minute he'll have the regional manager from Machine Mart stood on his doorstep next week. It's almost certainly 'just one of those things'.
