really send it back mate, what has been the problem with it? I would get the evo42 if i was to get an evo for £200 it is hard to beat.I've had nothing but bother with an evov28 wouldn't buy another, poor build quality.
ive got a evo42. not used it yet though.

yes the mag wont stick well to thin metal!
Yeah, I'm sure there was a mention in the book that came with mine (rotabroach element 40) about it's "grip" reducing below 6mm thicknesses.
I have mine stuck to a stand made from 10mm steel, and clamp the work down to that, if I'm doing anything small/tricky/thin.

The new models won't switch on unless they have enough grip. Pain in the rear on some small beams where the web is less than 6mm.
