Can never remember what model I got, but it's green and it's got a "3" in it .... The sliding mitre one. £99 from B&Q, cheap as anywhere on the net and saving on the post (plus easy take-back if it goes wrong).
All the specs are on the Evolution website. Chopped bigger than specs stuff on mine, in two passes.
macmig, just to let you know the one on the top of the link you prbided is exdemo and the smaller 210mm version which is readily avaliable at cheaper prices.
Well i decided to get one from tescos direct, picked it up yesterday and tried it out. People are right about the clamps being flimsy but the performance of the carbide blade is really good. I cut 42mm CHS first no problems, then 32mm free cutting steel bar no problems, then 42mm free cutting steel bar. The blade can hack it no problems, my only worry would be the motor burning out becasue it did get very hot, i'm thinking the motor is only meant to run for short periods. It took about 10 - 20 seconds to cut the 42mm bar, but even that is amazing considering how long it would take me with a slitting disk, or hack saw.
Also i found with the bar stock it did produce plenty of sparks and the bar did get hot, but that is expected.
