That fought me all the way and more!! I need to make the platform larger so it can replace the roller shutter and get a motorcycle on easily, the load will be limited to say 200kg, was 600kg, then I will make it look like a slideout, same for the two rear doors, they will go and be replaced by a sheet of foamex with insulation, one door will be fitted to the left of the sidelift,
Took it down to Hampshire at the weekend, 70th anniversary of the AJS / Matchless club, weighed it with Matchless G3l on board, full tank of diesel , gerry can of petrol, two gas cylinders, water, some tools, spare wheel, trolley jack, wife, wife's bags for the weekend, etc. 3150kg, not bad, still have the roller shutter to remove after I make the tailift platform larger, and the 5-10% unwritten leeway on weight on a good day , so should have another 500kg? payload for the other two bikes..... Off to the Le Mans Classic in the morning................
I bought this a the Beauliue jumble, sold as having a charging fault, £25.00, thought it was worth a punt, does not smell of magic smoke, no noticable blown bits, looking to use it as an inverter to run a microwave etc in my Tesco conversion, does anyone know anything about Victron units? would the inverter work even if the battery charger does not? thinking that I could fit a 24v alternator to Tesco as it has a redundant belt drive to the old fridge compressor, then charge my bank of batteries and just use the inverter to give 240v..... could add solar panels in the future if needed.
Off to the Goodwood revival on Thursday in Tesco towing a caravan.. taking my 1941 G3L.
