I guess I better say hi.
I am a 39 year old Mechanical Engineer with 21 years working in the Oil and Gas Industry in various engineering roles.
I have a keen interest in taking up MIG Welding, to allow me to weld panels on my old VW's and not rely on third parties.
I have sourced myself a Sealey 180 MIG c/w clamps, PPE etc.
I have had a lend of a welder in the past, but the welds wouldn't stick (bad prep ?).
When they did they resembled pigeon poo (Incorrect wire feed, amps or gas ?).
Advice and tips greatly welcome.
See you around folks
