Just though i'd drop in and say hi, rude not to isnt it! In a past life I was a Mecchy, but they went and computerised the world so I saw the light and got out of the biz (RIP twin strombergs!).
Have just invested in a Sealy Super 150 for a ride on mower repair for which I have been quoted £200 +. Thought I may as well weld it myself for the difference in price!
I am considering/planning/scheming or dreaming (delete not applicable!) fabbing some steel work for a planned timber frame summerhouse/pub/mancave and pergola. Nothing too structural, more decorative in the "industrial style", gussets, webs etc.
If it comes off and looks reasonable, ill post pics, if it turns out to be a bag of s***, dont be offended if you dont hear from me again!!
Yours sinc...Yorkee

..awaiting photo's of said multi building, we often get ideas from other's inventions.

Mine isn't a ride on, just a normal walk behind, but I have a nice hole in the blade shroud, it's not that old actually they must punch the metal body out of cheap crap metal
Also looked at the holes punched in the skirt. It is 2.5 mm thick, and the rotor cutting blade is 60x20mm x 1300mm diam. I stayed well away from it when he cut our back 40. Another neighbour used it to cut his front patch some years ago. Went over a small mound of gravel hidden in the grass and shattered several of his nice new front windows.
