My Son-in-law is a Consultant Pathologist and is 30 years old, lets just say he has a good life. That being said while most of us had a normal fun life after leaving school this kid has done nothing but study and work his arrse off and sacrificed his younger years for it. I don't have any hang ups regarding who gets paid what in the NHS as in my eyes they are worth every single penny. 2016 i had my life saved from what could have been a terminal Cancer if left another 3 months, i had an almost 8 hour surgery and just finished a 5 year after care program which has brought me out the other end fully cured and Cancer free hopefully for life...Cost to me was £0.00 Need i say any more regarding the NHS from a person level.

There’s a direct entry scheme now! Yeah surprised me. I only know because mine looks about 12 so I asked him.

He won an award for it. Although I’ve no idea what ‘it’ was really!

Where do you find the accounts? All they are legally required to publish on their website is the mean salary of the GPs which is all I can find on the practices I've tried at random.

Can you link to where the accounts are please? I'd be interested to know

Google the term "GP Net Earnings" followed by the practice name.
Taking your example you can only find the mean earnings of all the GPs who work for Vida Healthcare, not that specific practice. Just short of £64k.

That is my local doctors surgery - you will be lucky to find a GP on the premises - they are all off doing private work.

The Surgery is owned by two elderly Asian calculator salesmen from Harrogate - I kid you not.

The only thing this establishment does is rinse the NHS for funds.

Used to be mine when I was a kid. The senior partner was a crap gp but I played rugby with him. Good winger but rubbish gp. He turned out as medic after he retired from playing.

That said, the side I played for had a physio who was registered blind! You know who I mean - their home ground is by your house

I have no experience of Vida - when I was a patient they were all individual surgeries

The money in the NHS is in admin; I know someone who was the CEO of an NHS trust and quit under slightly mysterious circumstances, which attracted the attention of the local papers. They reported she had been paid £180k a year for 10 years. A brief time after she quit, Covid arrived, so she certainly did have a good sense of timing. At university, she had studied archaeology. You can understand why doctors think they are badly done to.
