Euro torches and gas valves

Am I right in thinking that euro torches don't have gas supply valves in the handset? If so, I may have just shagged my MIG. It is a Telwin 160A welder which I've had for probably 8 years and the liner had worn out. On these machines, it's all hard wired, so I thought I'd change it to a euro fitting torch. Which I've done, but the torch I have doesn't have a gas valve in the handset, so the gas just flows constantly.

Yes, if I can find the parts. Can it be patched into the wiring for the wire feed motor? And any idea of where I can get one? <edit: found some on ebay>

I can probably carry on with my TIG in the meantime.

The easiest option may be to get a mains voltage operated one and connect it to the output of the main contactor.

There is a company on Ebay that sell Euro torch conversion kits,

I converted my welder over to a euro tourch and as part of the kit there was a soloiniod valve, maybe you could search for the company and see if they will see you the valve seperatly as im sure they had them listed on there website.

Sorry i cant remember the name of the company but they are based over in York.
