Euro torch small gas 'O' rings.

Hi, guys, after my massive spend on a new machine, one of my old torches has a split 'O' ring that seals the gas on the euro connector, Are these readily available and do you have any recommendations ?

Check the dimensions, it's almost certainly a standard size O ring available all over the place ( dare I say eBay )

Hi Rig Pig, Im sure you are right, I have a case full of lots of O rings, got some the correct i/d but section is just too large, I would have thought the welding supply places should have them in stock. Very small section dia.

This was asked some years ago, coincidently I had just bought some at the time. they were 1mm section 4mm inside dia, I assume that they are all the same

Thanks Paul, Torch was 18months old never been used, got it out today and noticed the split O ring, Parweld torch, no nature left in the ring at all, rubber even seemed crumbly, Will look on the net and buy a few made of a better material Nitrile or viton maybe.

Now we have established that they are I/D 4mm X 1mm section, found an 'O' ring kit on ebay 225 assorted nitrile rubber with 20 pieces that size included, Only about £2-50 with free post, Welding shop probably wants a Quid each.

Yes I saw those too, at that price you can afford to throw all the others away, and keep the box for storing other small parts, If I recall correctly my local bearing supplier charged me about 50p each for them, still worth the money to cure the problem though.

I need a new o ring too. I'm assuming this is what we're talking about. Expensive if just buying the 2 though!

I see Simply Bearing can supply either nitrile or viton o rings in this size. Is there any reason why one would be better than the other in this application?

Hi reedx, That certainly is expensive, I checked my other torch today (also Parweld) Bought at the same time as the other one,and guess what!!! that one was split also, My 'o' ring kit from the Bay may arrive tomorrow, I will definitely checking these rings on a frequent basis,
