It sounds like you are trying to add a mains-powered gas solenoid?
( Other solenoid voltages are available, such as 12v, 24v, and DC as well as AC ).
You have connected E and N and need to know where to get the active L power from?
Basically, that will come from the same place as the main welding transformer gets it's power, when enabled by pressing the torch trigger switch. However, to state an exact location, we need to know the make and model of your ( 150 Amp ? ) MIG welder, then we can hopefully find a circuit diagram for it.
I brought a whole euro torch conversion and was supplied a 240v valve it did come with instructions but for the V2 version mine is a V3 modelThis is the inside of my welder
