Got one but it lives under the bench. Brilliant idea but when you back the clamps off to adjust something the weight of the motor on the arm inevitably makes it droop to a greater or lesser degree. You undo a handwheel, adjust it to whatever angle or distance you're after, nip up the wheel and find it's moved so start again to try and account for it.
@ibrooks
Are you saying that they are difficult to set accurately and to hold the settings, I've been offered one but don't know if a mitre saw would be better.
In theory it's a far more versatile machine than a mitre saw as it's a chop saw, mitre saw, compound mitre saw and you can also spin the blade through 90 degrees and rip long lengths or rebates like a table saw but in practice it's so damn fiddly to adjust that it doesn't get used unless I need to take it to a job rather than bringing the job to the woodshop. For remote work it's good because the motor just slides off the arm so it breaks down into easily carried lumps to put in the car - anything else portable becomes portable at the expense of power or capacity.
Since buying mine we've bought a mitre saw and a table saw.
i have no idea about eumenia ones, only dewalt.:
one sold on here last week for £60 (!)
but in reasonable condition, a dewalt/elu would be worth 250-800+ depending on size + attachments.
my b&d (dewalt) powershop 1251 has a 12" crosscut, and 3" depth. it also has a 16mm arbour, rather than an american standard 5/8"
but i got a 16mm reamer for a couple of quid, and imported a lot of bits from merika and converted thrm. (craftsman brand mainly)
all in, it cost me about 500 quid.
i would hope to get 750 for it.
