esseti welder 320amp single phase

Hi,

Im looking for a single phase mig welder with a god duty cycle.

Looked at R-tech, portamig etc....

I came accross a "esseti srk 320" on ebay its got a brilliant duty cycle, just seems too good.

Anybody got any experiance with these machines?

no experiance of them but
It wont run very long at max amps with that plug on it!! needs 63amp plug http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PCE-PLUG-...?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3cf90c210aand and lead
and the whole thing seems tiny considering max amps !
BTW be ready in the slips to catch your meter wheel when it comes off ------14 KVA !!!
60 amps that is a whole house supply ( for some) and be ready for complaints from the neighbors re brown outs when you strike up.

Yeah didnt think a 16 amp plug would be any good.
I have a 32amp plug fitted coming off a c type mcb.
Its in my workshop which is connected to a office building so no problem with neighbours etc....

They must have heard you where coming -----------with that welder and cleared off

A guy I used to work with many years ago had a massive welder and his leccy bills where less when he was welding!!!
coz it was that big a current draw it made the meter go backwards !!
modern smart ones may flash red to warn of the back emf.

I never actually mentioned i wanted to run it on max amps haha so Good stuff thanks
