G3Si1 is the EN 440 now ISO 14341 designation for a solid wire with around 420MPa minimum yield, 1.3-1.6% Mn.
SG2 is the old DIN 8559 classification for a GMAW.
An SG2 is basically a G3Si1.
What machine have you got and what are you welding?
The guy says it is Lincoln though.Overpriced, that stuff is wouldn’t touch it with a barge pole. At least buy Lincoln stuff or something like Weldline by Oerlikon/SAF
