I'm not 100 percent sure what the name of it is, but think it's gs3i or something like that. And it's spot on as good as Lincoln supra.
but think it's gs3i or something like that
not sure what code/grade it is.
i have been using air liquide weldline g3sl1 0.8 with no issues, but my local supplier does not stock it..only the esab wire.
i have found this: weldline sg2 but anyone know the difference between g3sl1 and sg2?
G3Si1 is the EN 440 now ISO 14341 designation for a solid wire with around 420MPa minimum yield, 1.3-1.6% Mn.
SG2 is the old DIN 8559 classification for a GMAW.
An SG2 is basically a G3Si1.
What machine have you got and what are you welding?
just go for the Weld G3Si1 in the brown box cheap and does what it’s meant to do.an old miller 180a....just making some frames out of box section
