I am an experienced stick welder but came across an old Esab (branded as Chemetron) MIG welder in my dad's old stuff. The power source is marked as a model LCA 275 but I can't find anywhere that shows that Esab even made a welder with that model number. I'd like to find a manual if possible (already checked the downloads section of the Esab websites), but at the very least I need to know a few details about it.
The closest model I could find as far as the appearance of the welder is the Esab A9 PP/LCA 200 and the only manual for that is in Swedish. The welder also has a feeder mounted to the top, listed as a model A9.
First, I need to know what kind of power it requires . . . 220, single phase, three phase, etc.
Also, having only worked with a very cheap flux core wire feed welder, I don't have a clue how interchangeable parts are for these machines. It looks like the welder sat out in the weather a bit. I'm guessing that I need to replace the hoses and the gun at the least. Any ideas on where I can find info on what replacement parts would be compatible?
Thanks.
